Juneau, Capital of Alaska
Captain Larry of Orca Entreprises who is healded on cruise message boards as the premier whale finder.
The Orca - everything this company had was purple - boats, shirts, notebooks, cups! I just luv purple! On our way back, one of the engine lost oil pressure and blew up! So exciting - two in a row.
Bad picture - boat rocked! But it says "It takes a whale to tip the boat. But only you can tip the crew".
Sun is out and the scenery is overwhelmingly beautiful.
Mendenhall Glacier. One of the best known glaciers. (Photo courtesy FH).
Menderhall Glacier. It is only 13 miles from downtown Juneau.
Mendehall Glacier ....
Mountains and more mountains
Our first whale sighting.
Now we are really close to the Grey Whale
Diving
In our bow wave
So fabulous to see so many whales.
Other tour boats that follow Capt Larry because they know he can find the whales.
The baby orca jumped completely out of the water. Camera (aka the camera lady!) only caught the splash
